Chi Burdel de Paciug Yoga

Yoga for the “the people of the muddy mess”

The experience

This community yoga session was created in the aftermath of the May 2023 floods in Forlì, as a space to come together after an intense period for the city.

It was open to everyone who had lost homes or vehicles, and to those who spent days helping clean mud filled houses and streets.

Held in the park as a free gathering, over 46 people joined to continue what had naturally emerged during the crisis itself, a strong sense of solidarity, presence, and mutual support.

Through simple movement and shared breath, the practice became a moment to reconnect, process, and stay united as a community beyond the emergency.

A Community coming together

One of the most meaningful moments of the gathering was our “everyone brings something” aperitivo.

After the practice, participants stayed in the park to share food and drinks they had brought themselves, creating a simple collective table filled with homemade dishes, conversations, and connection.

It became a natural extension of the yoga itself, a space to slow down, talk, and rebuild community through the act of sharing.
